The new Banca Popolare of Lodi headquarters, placed near the railway station of the Lombard city, houses ancient and new materials such as fired brick, glass, steel and aluminium. In this way, while Renzo Piano Building Workshop used the fired brick with innovative conceptions and functions, Focchi’s support allowed the integration of other elements to complete the architectural whole.Credits

Bullet proof glass curtain walling Thermal break profiles
The large floor glazings, realised with thermal break aluminium profiles, contain the invisible opening vents and the external roller blinds, operated by means of sun/ wind power device. The profile shape was designed in co-operation with the Architect taking into consideration both the aesthetic and the technical details: for example the floor transom has become, by means of suitable workings, a ventilation opening for the air conditioning system. In order to comply with the security requirements of the bank, at the ground floor bullet proof profiles and glass were used, both in the fix and openable glazings. Focchi has been certified with UNI EN ISO 9001 by DNV, consequently the whole work processing, i.e. design, production and installation, was carried out under quality control.
