Structural façades with external walkways
The building envelope is composed of aluminium panels and structural silicone glazing with the classic vertical division between spandrel and vision. The qualifying characteristic of the building had been the possibility of creating an external structure in anodised aluminium and stainless steel. This structure has created the possibility of having walkways, which are used for cleaning the outside of the façade and act a t the same time as brise soleil. The walkways have been fixed with brackets which penetrate the façade and supported by means of suspended rods anchored and, at the same time, to other rods diagonally, which maintain the structure stable in the longitudinal form.
