Our extensive experience in the technical design of complex building envelopes allowed us to become one of the current major players in the market.
A reliable and proactive company anticipating further development of existing technologies
We transform every architectural challenge into an opportunity of growth and of technological research. Every façade system is conceived to obtain an innovative, high performing product, which emphasizes the aesthetics and the beauty of the architect’s concept, even the boldest one.
The attitude we have to set ever more challenging goals and the need to find, for every project, the best balance among aesthetics, costs, performance and timing have accustomed us to high-quality and unique works that, starting from our know-how, lead to the utmost customization of every single building envelope.
We will never repeat something previously seen, nor will we propose the same solutions in the future.
Thanks to a well-structured organization and to its R&D department constantly working in cooperation with research institutes and universities, every day it is possible to test innovative solutions enabling the systems to reach the best performance in terms of comfort and energy sustainability.
Our long-lasting ability of designing, selecting and fostering loyalty with the best supply chain, of ensuring a strict quality control and of managing every process until installation, makes us a reliable partner for your success.
Today, Focchi Group is not only in the service of architecture, but it is key to its evolution.
The company is established in Rimini (Italy) and operates in the metalworking sector until the 1950s. Its name reflects the ownership of the family Focchi, which remains the same until nowadays.
With the post-war reconstruction, joins the company Ugo Focchi (son of Giuseppe) who, understood the potential of the material, develops the expertise in working with aluminum with the training of skilled workers through internships in Milan
The experience achieved and market demands create the conditions for a new and modern factory. The production of aluminum window frames is consolidated and developed with considerable expansion on the coast of Romagna and Marche, thanks to the anti-corrosive characteristics of anodized aluminum, particularly suitable for marine areas.
The constant growth makes it necessary to consolidate our presence in foreign markets, where we are appreciated for the availability / ability to develop customized products. Among these, the first project in the Middle East, with the construction of some residences for King Fahd. The attention to security (with 10 cm thick bullet resistant glass) led to the use of particularly strong profiles and special suitably reinforced accessories.
The studies and testing of major manufacturers such as Dow Corning allow the use of structural silicone as glass bonding system in curtain walls. In the USA, this technology was already in use since a few years. After a long period of research, the company patented Panorami, an innovative and performing triple glass façade, featuring a ventilated interspace with structural silicone retention of the outer pane. With this patent Focchi realizes the first structural silicone facade in Europe. Later, another 120 projects in Italy and abroad are performed with this technology.
Aluminum is not only a stainless material; it is also very light and therefore extremely suitable for shipbuilding. The glass/aluminum enclosure leaves the mainland.
Again Focchi is the first to take this path, with the design and manufacturing of windows for large cruise ships.
Focchi's activities in the United Kingdom begin with QUAY WEST project in Manchester, built with the structural silicone patent Panorami, where it finds wide acclaim for the ability to customize the façade systems, meeting architectural and performance needs.
With the aim of consolidating its presence in the United Kingdom, Focchi Ltd was established with headquarters in the heart of London.
The AMERICAN AIR MUSEUM, designed by Norman Foster, deserves special mention among the first projects.
Maurizio Focchi, together with other entrepreneurs and professionals from the Rimini area, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, founded Cittadinanza Onlus.
Focchi Group has been supporting the non-profit association for more than 20 years, which has been developing international cooperation projects, training and awareness-raising for people with mental illness and children with disabilities in low-income countries.
Focchi opened its Singapore premises with offices and factory manufacturing products dedicated to the Far Eastern countries.

The desire to grow led to a need for greater space for project engineering with increasingly advanced technologies, in an ever wider product manufacturing line. The premises are designed by architect Mario Cucinella.
The evolution of architecture leads to an international growth of complex envelopes using a range of different materials such as glass and aluminum, stone, stoneware, terracotta, and fiber cement, opening up a wide range of expressive possibilities to produce customized products to architects’ designs.
100 YEARS OF IDEAS: Focchi Spa celebrates its centenary.
The Group faces the American challenge. It establishes Focchi North America Corp.
Cellia is an innovative prefabricated façade unit created by the partnership between Progetto CMR and Focchi Group.
Cellia is a system that integrates the building envelope and the HVAC system in a single unit, which can be provided of a wide range of further functions such as wiring and energy production through photovoltaic modules. Once installed, Cellia allows to significantly improve the energy efficiency of the building, obtaining advantages in terms of operating costs and environmental impact.
