MEZeroE project strives to establish a dynamic and collaborative environment resembling a virtual marketplace, fostering collaboration among various parties in the construction sector. The platform will promote the exchange of ideas and services, facilitating the development and enhancement of nZEB (nearly Zero Energy Building) enabling innovative technologies. Additionally, MEZeroE will establish a knowledge-sharing platform and offer tailored training services. These initiatives by MEZeroE aim to revolutionize the construction industry, reshaping its market dynamics and creating an ecosystem where the creation of nZEBs is seamlessly integrated into the industry landscape. Multifunctional Façade
Within the MEZeroE project, an innovative multifunctional façade system is designed, manufactured, and tested. Dynamic blinds, automatic windows, heat pumps, mechanical ventilation, and sensors are fully integrated into the façade. The innovative “plug & play” offers a highly adaptive building envelope in which active and passive technologies communicate with each other via an IoT-embedded infrastructure. Two prototypes have been tested in a climatic chamber laboratory and a real Living Lab to assess benefits in terms of user comfort and energy optimization.
