The latest issue of Arketipo has been released, featuring an in-depth analysis of Battersea Power Station.
The project, representing the largest brick building in Europe, is part of the redevelopment of the entire area. The goal is to create a neighborhood with commercial, residential, and cultural spaces, where the focal point is the former power station. Designed in 1933, this power station was one of the first built in England. After being closed in 1983, it gradually fell into a state of abandonment.
For the design, architects WilkinsonEyre were commissioned in 2013, maintaining the turbine hall and four chimneys as key elements of the project.
