Live Project

Salzburg, the most “Italian styled” of all cities north of the Alps, has given birth to one of Europe's most important shopping centre, realised by Massimiliano Fuksas, attract ing the attention both day and night.

The building covers an area 320m long and 140m wide. In addition to a wide range of food halls, there are 120 other shops and 3000 parking places with a total site area of 120.000 m2.

The double-skin façades also have the function of advertising space. In fact the logo EUROPARK is written with letters as high as the building itself which can be read around the perimeter of the façade and in such manner to give a three-dimensional effect, like a hologram.

In the evening, the façades come alive, duplicating itself as a reflection from the surrounding water.
