THE ENVELOPE CONCEPT

This Building makes sustainability the component of a new aesthetic dimension, to which corresponds the development of the technical design.
It is characterized on the energy balance of the envelope surfaces and the use of high thermal performance technologies.

Each storey layout of the overall 35 floors has been developed from the proportion of the internal partition into the external modules.
Potentially all workplaces benefit from the proper energy and light balance, according to several series of internal design, for maximum comfort in the different areas.

The result is the alternating arrangement of featuring spandrel panels, opening glazing units and sun blades. As well as reducing the solar radiation and improving the overall energy
efficiency, the spandrel panels are the elements, which mark the rhythm of the façade surface, providing a modular matrix impression.

Europarco Development is a complex project of 805,000 cubic meters mostly for private offices with commercial space recreational and residential buildings

Europarco Business Park in Rome occupies a large area, with new buildings and architecture from different geometries. Amongst them, the Europarco Tower soars with 35 floors, 120 metres, clad in glass curtain walling.

The building represents the first tower to exceed 100 metres ever realised in Rome. It focuses to maximise attention on its urban connections and it is inspired by the most advanced architectural research.

The special feature is the basement, which is achieved by a continuous shell-white mat, where you can find services of greater importance, such as the great hall, the assembly hall and nursery areas, which overlook the courtyard garden. The architectural skin of the Tower is a direct consequence of this energy-saving principal.
The different conditions of sun exposure determine the number of shutters, the positions and the quantity of opaque panels, from the north transparency to the south façade marked by multiple blades of vertical blinds.
